Free Download The Crown Of Leaves

About This Game The Crown of Leaves is a hybrid of non-kinetic visual novel and point-n-click adventure, that will tell you a story about mysticism, riddles, constellations, anthro, beasts and ghosts!Three chapters are planned for release; The first chapter has already been released - and it's here.Every illustration, sprite, background and animation was made by the developers themselves. Most of the game music is also exclusive, and it was composed specially for the Crown. There are only four people that work on the game and non of them is professional in game development or programming. This is our first game.PlotRoui, a resilient city dandy, a half-educated jeweler and the author of scientific magic articles, dealt with a colossal failure and had to return to his homeland: Latori. Science isn't a thing here, and local shoddy mystical beliefs are really irritating and dejecting to Roui. He dreams to return to his old life... But how can it be possible if you have no money? One day, a prosperous local baron commissioned him for a bracelet, a gift for his lovely bride. Roui, in need of the extra coin, graciously accepted the order... But not long afterward he faced a new problem - the Mad Rook, a legendary and mysterious spirit, began to meddle in the lives of the locals, including Roui's. This spirit, an entity that plays tricks on mortals once a year, is possessed with strange magic and a dark sense of humor. Roui had no choice - he decided to gather information about the Mad Rook to find out who he really is!Despite all the strangeness of the story, everyone can find something parallel to their everyday life and see themselves in one of the characters. This story will capture you and won't let you go until the very end. Turn your mind inside out through a twisted way!SettingWhere is it set? The setting is a fictional world called Shang-La, a world of mixed cultures and eras, and home to various strange creatures. This is a place of old magic and new ideas, where science works together with mysticism. You can find glasses and phones, electricity and radio here, but no guns or television. The inhabitants of this world still fight with swords. The continent they live in is surrounded by the boundless ocean. The Sun and the Moon take turns alternating in the sky, and the stars are made of metal and hiding tons of secrets in them.Who are the Sahash? Sahash are the second intelligent race in Shang-La, alongside humans. They are divided into five nations, differing from each other by their physicality, shape of their horns, and muzzles. Every nation has its own unique traditions and culture: ranging from habits, religion, law, and even tastes in fashion and food.Despite the complicated relationships between these ethnic groups of Sahash, as a whole they get along with humankind, and even try to emulate them in spite of their more animalistic nature.Key featuresCommunicate with multiple characters, forge friendships, and make bitter enemies.Collect and craft items! I know the artists on few social media and I really love their artworks. These artworks are really witchy and cool!! I'm glad that I purchased The Crown of Leaves and played Chapter One!! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE CHAPTER TWO!!!. I accidentally ran on Crown of Leaves and buy it because it was on sale and i already knew the works of artists. Now i just end my first playthrough and i am delighted. I like story, charachters and artstyle. Graphics are beautiful, full of details and music complements the rest. I really recommend this game. I have just convinced one person :). I usually don't like point & click games but I bought this as soon as it came out. And today was the day I finally desided to play it. It was amazing. I love the story and the characters so far and the music blew me away. The game is also very beautifully drawn, but I expected nothing less from my favourite artists. Can't wait for more chapters to come out!. Never in my life have I felt so blue balled by a game. I was NOT aware this was a chapter game. I was fully prepared to hunker down for a couple hours but then I got to the end and it told me chapter one. So to other people, YEAH its a chapter game and only the first one is out ;n; that being said. HOLY NUT BALLS THE ART AND MUSIC. Its so pretty, its so serene. The characters are fantastic, while interactions were a little fast and I felt like I might have been missing something? It was still beautiful and I found myself already attached to people I had literally just met. They're so wonderfully written and funny and just OOF. It does throw a lot of words at you that you kind of need to pay attention to the lore to fully grasp it. I need the next chapter in my life.. So when it asks if I recommend this game, I give it a big YES! The game, although not a full 10/10, was beautiful. If I were to rank it, it'd be somewhere around a 8.5/10. I haven't gone through all available routes yet, but I have finished one. After I write this, I begin the next. What are my reasons for this not 10/10 review? Well, for the most part, I don't know if they were my fault or the games. Give them a pinch of salt, as only one I can verify is not my fault. The first is that it has a tendency to lag (this could be my computer, as it is a toster). Due to this, I had to go back to an old save file about three times because I accidentally skipped a few cutscenes. I think this was my fault, for the most part. The next is that there was one point, I won't say quite where because I don't want to spoil much. Surmize it to say, it was around the place where you make the weird rainbow alcohal drink. Due to the lack of a fanbase making guides, I could never figure out how to get past this part and subsiquently had to restart. I checked in every place multipal times for something new, but once I turned on the power in the house, I was completely stumpped. This is most likely my own dumb fault but a good .5 hrs I have on this game were just me trying to get unstuck. I suppose the way to fix this would have been to make the path forward a bit more clear? The third and final one is the only one I can confirm was not my complete fault. When I was playing, if I did not tab out of the window from the pause menu, the game sort of froze? I can't describe it as frozen because the screen I would be stuck on would still play ambient animations and music. The problem would lie in the fact that I couldn't click anything, move the screen (if that picture was movable), and pressing P would do nothing. If anyone else experiences this problem, it can easily be fixed. While in this state, you can still pause the game. Do this, then save the game. Return to the main menu, then load the save again. It worked every time I did this. Now you may think that, with all of this negativity I just let out, this game must be terrible. Problem with that is, you would be increddibly wrong! Despite these hiccups, I could return to where I was and enjoy the game. So what's its draw then? Why, oh why, did I keep playing after I screwed myself over and got stuck? Well, to put it simply, the world and story draw you in. For one, the graffics are stunning. Each area could be screenshotted and used as a desktop background or hung on a wall. I'm no furry, but I loved the anthro characters. They were visually pleasing and frankly adorable. Which brings me to two. The characters, though some you only share a few lines of dialogue with, feel real and like people you would want to meet IRL. Well, for the most part. Roui is a♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but a realistic feeling♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Each design is original and even background people you never talk with get charming and original designs. The Vegilamb in particular made me laugh. Number three is the impressive amount of clickable things and how much though was put into the characters commenting on them. This may be only a small detail, but there's so many things that don't technically effect the story that you can click. They add to the atmosphere and even short comments build the world. I can only assume they spent a considerable amount of time on these random things that don't matter in the long run but liven up the world. You wana read that book? Go ahead! You wana look at that dog? Roui makes a snarky comment. You wana look at the barista at the coffee place? Roui is too much of a dumbbutt to actually talk to her but hell, he'll comment that she works the day shift. I suppse this 3.5 because it's similar to 3. Characters in this game have similarly detailed branching paths of conversation. Really, it's impressive. Four is a simple comment on the suspense and drama of the game. The story drives it home well and there were several times I had my mouth hanging open in shock. And finally five, my last comment. Truely the story is the big draw. I saw another review that said that if you're looking for a difficult point and click game, this isn't it. If you're looking for a story driven, beautiful world to explore at your own pace, however, this is it. I completely agree. The story and lore are deep and interesting. They suck you in like a vacume and trap you there. Now this is only chapter 1. If you're looking at it by hours, assuming you only go along one path, it's about 2.5 dollars per hour. (Unless you're like me and got it on sale) I don't like looking at that though, because honestly it is worth the money to play the game. The quality and time put into this charmer is well worth it. Also the main character is lovable and a total nerd. He is a gud boi and I love him.. So when it asks if I recommend this game, I give it a big YES! The story and dialog was very well written , the world was imaginative and colourful and I found main character really likeable!I'll be waiting eagerly for more and I reccomend anyone giving this teaser a try. ^^
